Grab your sisters and cinch those corsets! This is a retelling of Jane Austen’s beloved Pride and Prejudice like no other, performed by a remarkable new cast with an original score by Grammy-nominated composer, Morgan Kibby.

Elizabeth Bennet has no intention of settling for any man, or frankly any life, that isn’t lived entirely on her terms. She will marry for love, dance when she wants to dance, and—if at all possible—find a quiet spot to read without being interrupted. But when she’s introduced to the wealthy and completely insufferable Mr. Darcy, everything she thought she knew comes into question.

Get an intimate glimpse inside Elizabeth’s mind as she reckons with what it means to stay true to oneself while opening your heart to new possibilities.

Starring Marisa Abela as Elizabeth Bennet, Harris Dickinson as Mr. Darcy, Marianne Jean-Baptiste and Bill Nighy as Mrs. and Mr. Bennet, and Glenn Close as Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

That ending alone giving us the tiniest and briefest preview of their intimacy deserves 5 stars. But seriously, what a wonderful cast and production. Adding it to my permanent collection.

Highly entertaining. The narrators are perfection. Absolutely worth the time to listen. I've listened to other productions of this classic but this one is the best in terms of the personality of the characters. so very well done!

Well done

I usually prefer a reader rather than a drama but this was so well done. The actors are all fantastic, especially Elizabeth Bennet. The only small negative is some uses of modern expressions that snuck in there but otherwise it is very well done.

Nice surprise

I cannot say anything bad about this! It was wonderful and the story and dialogue was perfection. Despite knowing the story, it was still magical. Beautiful, captivating….well done!

In general the audio drama is well done. The adaptation is pretty good and the readers are good. But Lizzy comes across as somewhat bitter and her comments as rude rather than witty. The frequent sighs of exasperation or resignation don't reflect the sparkling character that Jane Austen created and that generations have loved. I tended to feel depressed as I listened!

Not a likable Lizzy

My only problem was with the directing and sound editing in that sometimes the performance seemed too soft-spoken or the voices too far away. I also think the musical scoring was overdone in some bits, which I attribute to a directorial choice that I personally didn't like. But the performers were phenomenal and the adaptation was succinct and satisfying!

Great performance

Everything was great with one or two caveats. Didn’t love the some of the music and some of Lizzie’s inner dialogue. The new additions were enjoyable but too modern at times for my taste. I’ll probably listen again.

A lively adaptation with modern quirks

These full cast dramatizations are always a treat and one can never have enough adaptations of Pride and Prejudice. I felt that the two lead performances were somewhat flat and didn’t always match the emotion of parts of the story, while the other actors and actresses were often much more believable. Beautiful soundtrack, overall.

Very Good, Not Great—But Still Recommended!

I loved everything about this, and it was so easy to get emersed in it.

Harris dickinson the man that you are

As a little girl pride and prejudice was my favorite movie, this interpretation was an immersive and surprising delight. Sometimes I would get a bit confused because they do not narrate as much as just leave it to the listener to assume the change scenery or action. But over all. I love it.
